Kajian Studi Etnofarmasi Tanaman Obat yang Berpotensi Sebagai Kosmetik Herbal pada Beberapa Daerah di Indonesia
Abstract
Medicinal plants have long been known to provide many benefits: medicine, foodstuffs, and cosmetics. The approachtaken is to explore a particular community in the use of herbal cosmetics from natural ingredients, namely ethnopharmacy. The research aimed to inventory the types of medicinal plants that can be used as herbal cosmetics in several regions in Indonesia, namely the Dayak ethnic (Kanayatn), Central Java, Using, keraton, Melayu, Wolio and Sasak. The data obtained from this research used the narrative review method such as database Google, Pubmed, Science Direct, then selected journals that met the research criteria. Based on the exploration of articles in several databases, the results obtained 44 families and 76 plant species used as herbal cosmetics such as removing body odor, nail care, eye care, facial and skin care, hair care, stamina booster and postpartum care for women. The processing and usage are still done traditionally, namely to be shredded, cut into pieces, milled, boiled, kneaded, burned, drunk, pasted, smeared, rubbed, rubbed, chewed.
